‘The Little Urban Fox Explores Castleton’, Children’s book features members of Edale Mountain Rescue Team, including Search Dog Flo and her handler Paul Bartram.
On Monday 8th November 2021 Helen, Kathryn and members of the team headed on up the old Mam Tor road in Castleton. Once there, the team put together the rescue stretcher.
They then headed on up through the gates and onto the hillside. Here they set up, ready to re-enact their scene from the book.
Here they are safely strapping in their casualty.

Mountain rescuer Paul Bartram and very special search dog Flo with the EMRT carrying the casualty safely down the side of the hill.
Here are the scenes from the book showing Amber and Ziggle, the colour changing worm, talking to a black crow who tells them of the hero mountain rescue team. They then head up through Cavedale, where they find a girl who has fallen and hurt her ankle. Ziggle shouts to Amber to run and fetch the very special dog Flo who alerts the rescue team. The Edale Mountain Rescue Team then carry the girl safely down the hill into Castleton.
