Mi Amigo 75th Anniversary

The MI Amigo memorial in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield is to commemorate the 10 lives lost during WWII . A B17 Bomber crashed , avoiding children that were playing in the park . One of the children, Tony Foulds, who was 8 years old at the time and witnessed the crash. Tony has visited and maintained the Mi Amigo memorial in the park for many years. The fly past was organised by Dan Walker and the BBC to recognise the 75th anniversary of the crash, and to acknowledge Tony’s dedication to the memorial and his love for the service men.

This event took place in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield on 22/02/2019 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the crash of the Mi Amigo ‘ Flying Fortress ‘ and the loss of lives of 10 brave American service men.
